Fall Preventative Maintenance

Posted on September 9, 2021 by Bailey Horlander

Fall has arrived here at Heartland Quality Heating and Cooling and we’re currently taking care of our HQ Care customers and performing their fall preventative maintenance. The manufacturers of your heating and cooling equipment require regular seasonal preventative maintenance. It is required for safety, efficiency and for your parts warranty to stay effective. Without having regular seasonal preventative maintenance, the life expectancy of your equipment will be shortened and equipment failure or parts break down will occur. Air conditioners are meant to last on average between 10 to 15 years, and a furnace for 15 to 20 years; if not maintained the life expectancy of your equipment will be reduced and loss of warranty coverage may occur.

Nobody wants their car to break down just like they don’t want the AC to quit on a 90 degree day or the furnace to stop in January. Think of your heating and cooling equipment being similar to your car. Anyone that owns a vehicle understands the importance of getting the oil changed, tire pressures tested and having the tires rotated and the recommended services needed to keep your car running like new. Furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps need the same kind of service to ensure proper, safe, and efficient operation for its designed life expectancy. So take care of both so they will live longer. Our preventative maintenance program has a lot of benefits for you. It provides you with a discounted trip fee in case of breakdowns, 10 percent off any repair or accessory, 5 percent off new system installations, priority customer status over non-maintenance customers, and two system check ups a year (one in Fall and one in Spring).  If you would like to see what preventative maintenance entails, you can click HERE to read more.
