KCP&L has been advertising the rebate programs to homeowners in theGeneral Electric Meter Lee’s Summit and Kansas City area all summer. You probably received one of their door hangers at some point this summer that explained some of the details. This program is designed to encourage homeowners with older heating and air conditioning equipment rebates if they replace their less than stellar energy efficient air conditioners with new high efficient equipment. For a homeowner to qualify for one of the utility rebates you must contact one of KCP&L’s preferred contractors. Heartland Quality Heating & Cooling is a preferred Kansas City Power & Light rebate HVAC contractor. Our technicians have undergone specific training provided by Kansas City Power and Light to become certified rebate technicians. If you would like to contact us we’ll gladly explain how the program works and the tiered instant rebates that are currently available. Currently, only Missouri homeowners are eligible for current KCPL rebates.

There are certain rules that apply to this program and they deal with the existing air conditioner’s energy efficiency. If you contact us, we will need to book a service call that typically takes an hour. During this service call one of our KCP&L certified technicians will record all of the working technical information, report the data to KCP&L. If your air conditioner uses too much electricity while cooling your home, you qualify for this program.

There are other stipulations and rules that must be followed when attempting to take advantage of the instant utility rebates. So if your Lee’s Summit, Raymore, Raytown or greater Kansas City air conditioner is running on its last leg, and you want to take advantage of these money saving rebates, give us a call today.
