Kansas City Power and Light is ending its Cool Homes rebate program in December.

KCP&L pulls the plug on AC rebates!

KCP&L pulls the plug on “Cool Homes” rebates!

The program offers Kansas City area homeowners up to $850 in instant rebates to replace their air conditioner if it met certain qualifications. The program was developed to increase energy efficiencies of home air conditioning equipment in the greater Kansas City area by either servicing the existing air conditioning units or enticing homeowners with the rebates of up to $850 to replace their old, worn out AC’s.

The Cool Homes test only takes about an hour and can be scheduled to meet most homeowner’s hectic schedules. One of our Heartland Quality Heating & Cooling “Service Approved” technicians will review the entire operation of the air conditioning system and call in all of the needed information to a third party engineering firm to see if the existing unit meets the rebate standards. This process is seamless and doesn’t take any additional time to complete.

Utility rebates will still be around, you may have noticed the last time you shopped for light bulbs a sign that states “KCP&L instant rebate”. While the 2 or 3 dollar rebates for a light bulb are nice, it would take years of buying light bulbs to reach the Cool Homes $850 rebate.

You know if you’re Raymore, Lee’s Summit or Kansas City air conditioner needs to be replaced soon, take advantage of the last months of the Cool Homes rebate and give us a call to schedule your visit today.
